This is my final outfit for my first year HND, we didn't have a "theme", only that the design had to be a suit...although not a traditional suit, it just had to match! The other limitation was we had to use denim and white cotton, but we could dye the cotton and add our own fabrics.
It took me forever to finally settle on a dress design and colour scheme, after watching "Becoming Jane", I wanted to use soft, Edwardian colours so I choose creamy-gold and light blue. The dress is a baby doll style, empire line with a tucked/gathered bodice, it's also tucked at the back to reflect the front. I was a little wary of the cream-gold looking too old which is why I went for a strapless, short style...and the ribbon is there purely because I love them
My mannequin doesn't quite fill the top of the dress out properly which is why it looks baggy, I might add a picture of myself wearing it so show the full effect of the garment.
Its true. Its got the softness enough for summer to create a dift and for spring. Then the fall it looks heavy enough, if you added a jacket and a pair of pants it could be winter dress too ^_^..
